Burgerbegroting themes announced
The themes for this year's Burgerbegroting (citizens' budget) are announced. Round 1 is now over, and the participating Maastricht residents eventually chose 10 favourite themes.
There are 5 more topics than last year, which means that this time there are also new topics such as 'Future-proof club life', 'Urban agriculture and allotment gardening' and 'Art and culture in the streets and squares'. The next round, in which the available amount of €750,000 will be distributed, will start on 14 and 18 June. Projects and ideas within the themes can be submitted in the autumn; in December, people will vote on which plans will eventually be implemented.
