Strikes in regional transport (Arriva buses and trains) will be suspended
Strikes in regional transport (Arriva busses and trains) will be suspended from tomorrow, Thursday, until at least Friday 24 March.
FNV and CNV trade unions announced this yesterday at a nationwide rally in Utrecht. This pause is in response to the fact that Vivianne Heijnen, Staatssecretaris for Infrastructuur en Waterstaat (Infrastructure and Water Management), appointed 2 assessors who will spend the coming period looking at how to get employers and staff back around the table to talk about a better collectieve arbeidsovereenkomst – CAO (collective labour agreement). That should provide more pay, a lower workload and a better pension scheme.
