Maastrichtenaar Ingrid Creemers takes karate gold and silver in Berlin
Karateka Ingrid Creemers had a successful weekend this weekend. In Berlin, the Maastricht native took both gold and silver at the Banzai Cup.
In the Open Class, Creemers took a gold cup. This saw 1229 participants from 23 different countries compete.
In the women's +68 kilogram class, she scored a silver trophy. It was tied on points in the final, after which the referee had to choose the best and awarded the win to her German opponent.
Creemers' focus is now fully on the World Championships in Budapest in October.
