KNMI: "Snow-covered or icy surfaces in the south in the morning due to snowfall
Koninklijk Nederlands Meteorologisch Instituut – KNMI (Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute) has issued a Code Oranje weather warning for Limburg for today.
KNMI: "Snow-covered or icy surfaces in the south in the morning due to snowfall
From the end of Tuesday night, it will snow heavily in the south and southeast for some time. In the southeastern part of Noord-Brabant and in Limburg, locally more than 5 cm may fall. In the Limburg hills, 10 cm may possibly fall. Code Oranje is in force for this. This afternoon, the smoothness will temporarily end.
Furthermore, there will be snow-covered and icy surfaces locally throughout the country in the coming hours due to the freezing of wet road sections.
During the evening, snow may become icy again in the south and possibly in the centre of the Netherlands.
Traffic and outdoor activities will be hindered by the icy conditions."
