Heavy metal festival postponed until 2025

The heavy metal festival South of Heaven Open Air, scheduled for spring 2024, will be postponed for a year.

The Muziekgieterij, which will organise the festival together with event organisers Doomstar Booking and Tirr Music Agency, has reported this on its Facebook page.

The festival was due to take place on the stadsweide near the Gashouder on 31 May and 1 June, but would coincide with other major events in the city. Gemeente Maastricht has therefore informed that it is not yet certain that the heavy metal festival can go ahead. This uncertainty, combined with the fact that 2 headliners could not yet confirm, made the organisers decide to postpone the music festival to 2025.

A new date will be announced. Ticket sales for the event had not yet started.
