Heavy metal fans are in for a treat. The Netherlands has gained a new 2-day metal festival, which will take place in Maastricht on Friday 31 May and Saturday 1 June 2024. 

There will be 2 stages on the Gashouder grounds which will host a total of 21 bands during South Of Heaven Open Air. The festival is organised by the Muziekgieterij, Doomstar Booking and Tirr Music Agency. The organisation focuses on the "heavy genre". The first names will be announced soon. Ticket sales will start later this year.

"We are betting on a strong programme with mainly internationally celebrated metal bands, an old-fashioned good atmosphere, a top location in Maastricht, Bourgondische enjoyment and a relatively low ticket price," the South Of Heaven organisation announced via the Entertainment Business website.
