Cycling along Grote Staat now allowed until 11:00
Cyclists have recently been allowed to cycle through the pedestrian area in the city centre until 11:00. Previously, you were fined if you rode your bike while cycling between 09:00-18:00, during shop opening hours, through, for example, the Grote Staat.
The stadsbestuur (city board) has decided that cycling is now allowed here during the hours when shops are receiving their deliveries. That means cycling through the pedestrian area in the city centre is now allowed from 18:00 until 11:00 the following morning.
