Construction work on shops and flats in former V&D building to start after bouwvak
According to the developer, the plan is now definitely going ahead and construction will start after the bouwvak (construction industry summer holiday).
New construction plans everywhere are under pressure due to rising interest rates and expensive building materials. It makes developers reluctant to invest. This also applied to the still vacant former V&D building for a long time. Yet shops and housing are now going to be built there.
