Cinema in city centre evacuated by police due to bomb threat
The Pathé cinema in the Sphinxkwartier was evacuated by the police on Monday evening around 17:45. The Maastunnel was also closed off.
Both the Maastunnel and Maasboulevard have reopened to traffic.
About 50 visitors were present in the cinema at the time. The ground floor of a nearby hotel was also evacuated.
Specialists from Team Explosieven Verkenning – TEV are investigating at the scene.
