Burgemeester will say goodbye with party at Tapijnkazerne
Burgemeester (Mayor) Annemarie Penn-te Strake will say goodbye on Friday 30 June with a celebration at the Tapijnkazerne.
Associations and organisations in which Penn-te Strake was involved or where she held a position of honour will also be in attendance. "I prefer not to have a classical reception. An accessible party with lots of music with drinks and bites to eat suits me much better," said the burgemeester, who will be succeeded by Wim Hillenaar on 1 July. The festival starts at 16.00 and is open to anyone who wants to say goodbye.
On 29 June, there will be a formal farewell during an extra raadsvergadering (council meeting). This is open to invited guests only.
